After completing the original Sonwil Distribution Center at 315 Ship Canal Parkway in 2008, Krog was pleased to partner with Sonwil Distribution again to construct a second facility adjacent to the original. Sonwil Distribution Center #2 located at 283 Ship Canal Parkway, will be even larger than its predecessor at 335,260 sq. ft. and will boast a 55 ft clear height ceiling. The building area will be divided into the following: 323,260 sq. ft. will be dedicated Warehouse Area, 10,108 sq. ft. will be office space and training areas and 2,500 sq. ft. will consist of Trucker Annexes.

In addition to the above, multiple truck docks will be available as will several rail accessible ones to make use of the existing rail line that services the original Sonwil Distribution Center and that will also serve #2.

The increased size of the new Distribution Center; especially its height, will allow for the Warehouse space to make use of an automated racking system. This system will allow for pallets of various types of food products and other items to be transported along rack system and easily accessed for further shipping and handling.

As previously mentioned, multiple annexes will be available for Truck Drivers who will frequent the Distribution Center. They will be able to make use of bathroom facilities and furnished breakrooms while they wait for their drop-off or pick-up to be completed.
